Fast bowler Mohammad Amir is likely to join the Pakistan team in England for the T20I series.
According to sources, Amir will replace emerging pacer Haris Rauf, whose fifth COVID-19 Test came positive out of sixth.
Sources also revealed that chief selector and head coach Misbah-ul-Haq have contacted Amir and asked for his availability.
In case of joining the squad, the 28-year-old will have to go through all the stages, which includes two COVID-19 Tests. Amir’s inclusion in the team is likely to be announced in the next few days.
It must be noted that Amir initially pulled out of England due to the birth of his child. Amir was blessed with a second baby girl on July 16th.
