Social worker Faisal Edhi has tested positive for coronavirus, reported on Tuesday.
According to sources, Edhi is in Islamabad at the moment.
Last week, Edhi, the head of one of Pakistan's largest charity groups Edhi Foundation had received flak after he donated Rs10 million to the Prime Minister's Coronavirus Relief Fund.
He had later refuted criticism surrounding the donation to the Prime Minister's Coronavirus Relief Fund, saying the organisation could not "operate without the government's help — be it federal or provincial".
